The Constitution:
As an elected official, Mike Moon swore an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the State of Missouri. Article III Section 21 of the Missouri Constitution states that a bill’s original purpose cannot be changed throughout the legislative process.
Article III Section 23 states that every bill must contain one subject, which is to be clearly expressed in the title of that bill. Many of the laws passed in Missouri are passed in the form of unconstitutional, omnibus bills. Mike Moon votes against every one of these unconstitutional, legislative packages.
Due to his unwillingness to compromise on this oath to uphold the Constitution, Mike Moon has been recognized as the most Constitutionally voting legislator by the Locke and Smith Foundation since 2017.
Defending the Unborn:
In 2019, Mike Moon co-sponsored legislation that led to the elimination of all surgical and prescribed-medical abortions in Missouri.
Mike is also the sponsor of the Abolition of Abortion Act, which provides an unborn child at every stage of development with the same rights, privileges, and immunities available to other citizens.
Mike Moon has always been Pro-life, and he will continue to defend the most vulnerable.
Defending the Second Amendment:
The Second Amendment states that the rights of the people to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
Mike Moon has been constant in his support of the 2nd Amendment. He voted for and co-sponsored the Second-Amendment-Preservation Act, which protects Missourians from an overreaching federal government.
Supporting the castle doctrine, constitutional carry, and stand-your-ground laws, Mike is the kind of man Missouri needs to protect this important right.
Protecting the Taxpayer’s Money:
Far too often, the General Assembly is quick to give away tax-breaks to big corporations, in the form of tax credits, rather than cut taxes for the regular, hard-working citizen.
During his time in the legislature, Mike Moon has sponsored legislation to cut the income tax, eliminate the corporate income tax, and eliminate the sales tax on food. Mike also supports eliminating personal property taxes and real estate taxes.
Mike Moon has been a thorn in the side of those who wish to expand government welfare and giveaways. Missouri needs fighters like Mike to hold government spending in check and protect the taxpayer’s money.
Protecting Children and Families:
The radical left is on a mission to destroy the nuclear family. They want to sexualize and mutilate our children. Rather than parents raising their kids, they would rather have YouTube and social media tell your kids how to act.
Mike Moon has had enough with this woke, radical agenda. In 2023, Mike Moon championed and sponsored the Save Adolescents From Experimentation Act (SAFE ACT). This law currently protects minors from irreversible gender reassignment procedures.
Before the SAFE Act became law, radical medical professionals were in the process of mutilating thousands of kids across the state. This is no more.
Mike Moon also sponsored the Save Women’s Sports Bill, which prohibits biological men from participating in female sports.
Furthermore, Mike is the sponsor of the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act. This bill prohibits school officials from having discussions on gender identity and sexual orientation without parental involvement.
Mike also sponsored a bill that puts to death anyone who rapes a minor under the age of 14.
Mike Moon wants Missouri to be a safe-haven for children, and he believes parents are the best people to raise their children.
Ensuring State Sovereignty:
The Federal Government is one of the biggest threats to Missourians today. Mike Moon realizes this, which is why he sponsored the “Restoring State Sovereignty Through Nullification Act”. This bill allows the Missouri legislature to declare any unconstitutional federal rule, regulation, or executive order null and void in the state of Missouri.
Furthermore, Senator Moon is a co-sponsor of the “Constitutional Money Act”, which declares gold and silver a legal tender in Missouri.
Unfortunately, due to the disastrous border policies of the Biden administration, every state is now a border state. This year, Mike Moon introduced an amendment to our State’s budget to ensure no taxpayer money would go to any illegal aliens. Mike Moon will not stop fighting to protect our state from dangerous illegal aliens until every one of them is deported. We must protect out state from the failings of the Federal Government.
An over-reaching federal government is a danger to our constitutional republic, and Missouri needs someone to stand in the gap for our freedoms. Mike Moon is that guy!
